the fairy and the bookmark dont disprove a creator. they just nominate a different one. if you say a fairy actually made the universe you have not shown theres no creator. you have just swapped one in. thats a completely different debate than the one you started. and think about what that means for your position. as an atheist your job is to argue there is no creator at all. not to argue about which creator it is. the second you propose an actual creator even one you call a fairy or a bookmark you have conceded the very thing atheism denies. it does not matter if the creator is unknown or absurd or something you invented as a joke. an unknown creator is still a creator. you have not defended atheism at that point you have just picked a weird candidate for theism. the real first question isnt which god made everything. its whether the universe ultimately needs a maker at all. if your answer is no then argue that. tell me the universe is necessary or its a brute fact or it just is what it is with no explanation needed. thats the debate between atheism and theism. the moment you offer any actual candidate as the real explanation instead of a pure hypothetical you have left that debate and moved into which creator not whether one exists. what you cant do is dodge that question by inventing a joke candidate and act like naming something ridiculous counts as an argument against a creator existing. it doesnt. it just moves the goalpost from existence to identity. and on the unfalsifiable comment. im not asking you to disprove the bookmark because i cant prove my case yet. im asking you to engage stage one first. does the universe need an explanation for its existence or not. once you actually take a side on that instead of hiding behind a prop we can get into why that explanation has to be an uncaused ground and not just another created thing like the bookmark or the fairy themselves. so pick a lane. either the universe doesnt need a cause and you argue that. or it does and now were talking about what that first cause looks like. a fairy that supposedly created itself into a bookmark still needs an explanation for its own existence same as anything else in this univers
