As an Asian person who grew up admiring him as a legendary icon in the fashion world, I was truly disappointed by his racist behavior. It was inexcusable, and I was hurt too. But it has been more than a decade. People make mistakes, myself included. What matters is taking accountability, learning from those mistakes, and becoming a better person. Over the years, he has worked hard, continued creating, and proven that he has grown. We should never excuse racism, but we can acknowledge genuine change. Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting. It means giving people the chance to grow. I believe he deserves a second chance.
