It's something people can hold on to in bad times. It gives people reasoning as to why things happen, "because God has this plan for me". It gives people strength to move on and I think it's a beautiful thing, but it's not for me.

It’s not a coping mechanism for those parts of life tho. It being a coping mechanism isn’t a bad thing, why see it as in insult. Many people have comping mechanism. We humans need them. What it is a coping mechanism for is for things like death, having a meaning and suffering and death having a meaning. Stuff like that
