I mean yeah you’re right about false repentance but then (according you you and many Christians logic) it’s okay if said assaulter ACTUALLY repents. So all he has to do is feel bad about it, ask for forgiveness from god, and then he’s good. Which is absolutely wild. And the second point is representative of everything that’s wrong with religion in general. You can interpret anything any way you want. So if I say that you can go to h3ll (idk if TikTok lets me say it) bc you don’t believe in God then maybe that’s true to some Christians but not others. You can always say that your version is correct but there’s also plenty of Christians who disagree with you, and vice versa. Growing up I was told that God doesn’t discriminate; if you don’t know and never accept Jesus as your savior then you’re doomed, and that he treats ignorance and defiance as one in the same. There’s really no argument to be made either way bc everyone believes something different. With the last point, why would God make you fundamentally more prone to committing what you would classify as a sin? A straight person would never commit the sin of being homosexual while a homosexual person has a way higher chance inherently. This just proves that God is not a just one as many says he is. From my POV god has always been a vindictive, angry, and wrathful god that doesn’t understand free will, nuance, or forgiveness on the silliest of things (while having the capacity to forgive the worst of the worst).
