In the 00s I ranted negatively about a purity culture book. My friend asked if I had read it. I hadn't, so I bought a copy, took notes and ranted about it afterwards. My friend was wrong. The book was garbage.

What I've never understood as a westerner brought up on Christianity is how Muslims get this logical without also leaving the religion behind?... In Christians, ANY (literally, not figuratively) individual with the 'have you read it' mentality is already half way out the door of Christianity (certainly far enough that their kids wouldn't be believers)

That book ended my affection for Rusty‘s writings to the point where I can’t even name my favourite Rusty book anymore, it was the one set in the. of the splitting of India and had a drippy nose character in it. I love that book, but it’s been sponged from my memory after reading satanic versus which was a deliberate provocation. I believe it was a terrible read, and it was super offensive and it ended my relationship with Solomon Rusty, and I will leave that voice to text error in place :-)
