@thedogsneedourhelp: 💔 DAISY IS BACK AFTER A MONTH. This sweet 3 year old Terrier mix girl has had way too much upheaval in such a short time. Daisy was originally surrendered to Greenville, TX shelter at the end of July with a 4 month old puppy after family left them behind with someone who could no longer care for them. Her friend was adopted, leaving Daisy alone in the shelter, stressed & panting nonstop. Then an elderly man adopted her on 8/1. Today, 8/31, she was returned. The reason? She isn’t housebroken or leash trained. Daisy reportedly dislikes having a leash or harness put on her & won’t potty outside while  on leash. She is also active & would likely benefit from a home with a secure setup where she has more freedom to move around. She is described as loving, active, dog friendly & kid friendly with no temperament concerns. She just needs someone willing to teach her. House training & leash training takes patience. Adjusting to a new home takes patience. Daisy has already had people disappear from her life. She deserves someone who understands that bringing home a dog means working through the things they don’t know yet instead of returning them when they aren’t immediately perfect. She needs a loving INDOOR home where she can decompress, learn, get regular vet care, grooming, exercise, & enrichment, and finally feel secure. She deserves to be someone’s FOREVER dog. The shelter is overcrowded & dogs are running out of time simply because there aren’t enough kennels. Please help Daisy get out BEFORE she loses her life.
