As a nursing mother at that time those were very precious bonding AND private moments. I ALWAYS covered up with a blanket so only my child and I could gaze at each other during nursing. I ALWAYS carried a diaper bag with all necessary supplies including a baby bottle that I had previously pumped with only breast milk. I see many new moms expecting everyone around them to accept their reality of do things w/o considering others. I’m not sure where things took a turn like that but I understand people not wanting to see a woman’s shirt unbuttoned and a visible breast even though she’s nursing. No one wants to see a man’s zipper down w/o underwear. Private body parts are not needed to be seen in public. Back then I also went to the mothers nursing rooms or very private locations because my child and my quality moments weren’t for anyone else to see or share. Moms know the child’s feeding schedule I’m very sure she could have planned ahead or carried a blanket. My view on this matter.
