hypochlorous acid stops working after being opened for 3 months so don’t get the big bottles. you can get little spray bottles for like £3 in the baby section, it’s used to clean babies skin and it’s the same thing

i study biology and I once swabbed my makeup brush that I do wash every now and then on an agar plate and some filamentous fungi grew on it 💖 our supervisor forbid me from opening the plate again cause we werent able to tell wtf grew on there. Disinfect your brushes everyone!! Washing might not be enough

dip ur brushes in 99% isopropyl alcohol then rub em off on a towel (better yet, one of those makeup remover towels). will have ur brushes cleaned and disinfected without water, and cuts dry time to like 15 minutes. it works insanely well but only do it when u don’t have time to actually wash them. persistent exposure to alcohol might damage the bristles
