@coach_brettcarrington: Comment “swaps” for our low calorie high volume swap guide LOW FIBRE vs HIGH FIBRE If your goal is to lose body fat, improve digestion, manage hunger and support your overall health, getting enough fibre matters. A good target for most people is around 14–17g of fibre per 1,000 calories consumed. So if you’re eating 2,000 calories per day, that’s roughly 28–34g of fibre. Why does it matter? Fibre can help: • Keep you fuller for longer • Support healthy digestion and regularity • Improve blood sugar control • Support healthy cholesterol levels • Reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease • Make managing your calorie intake easier when fat loss is the goal And here’s where people often get caught out… Some foods we naturally associate with being “healthy” actually contain far LESS fibre than you might think. That doesn’t make them bad foods. It just means that if most of your choices throughout the day are lower in fibre, you can easily finish the day well below what your body needs, even if you feel like you’re eating pretty well. You don’t need to eliminate low-fibre foods. You just need to understand where your fibre is actually coming from and intentionally include enough fruit, vegetables, legumes, wholegrains, nuts and seeds across your day. Fat loss isn’t just about eating fewer calories. It’s about building a diet that helps you stay full, nourished, healthy and consistent enough to actually sustain the result.
