not sure if I remember xorrectly but if you take a dry baby wipe amd put it over your brush and then brush your hair the static is menwt to stop

You are brushing your hair differently with each brush. Your hair was staticy with the other as well because after you used the mason brush your hair proofed out. And you didn’t do the “static test”
