@chekmedia: A video recorded on a home security camera in Comox is getting a lot of attention after a bear was spotted hobbling down a sidewalk in front of the home. The bear appears to limp and its hind legs and backside are pulled up close to its front for some reason. “My first reaction to that video was that poor thing is injured somehow. I figured it might have been hit or even born that way but its definitely deformed somehow,” said Maureen McNulty who lives near where the video was taken. Some neighbours think the animal is doing OK on its own, like a woman CHEK News spoke to who said it reminds her of Jimothy the racoon. The BC Conservation Officer Service says a biologist or veterinarian will assess the video of the bear, adding that, in the meantime, the bear isn’t causing any problems. “That bear is still mobile and still feeding. We would ask neighbours, the neighbourhood to just monitor the bear.
