And might I add. If you’re married or have a partner. I never go to bed without speaking my truth to my partner about what needs to be said. From a thing that bothered me. To a thank you for noticing a simple thing my partner noticed or took care of. And thanking him for caring enough to notice or take care of something he knew I’d hope got done or made plans to accomplish. And we both make sure apologizing for anything we said that was unkind. Or handled badly. And we always without fail say “I love you” often, during each day. And just before we sleep.This took me a few marriages and my last chapter to realize the importance of doing this. I’m foolish and stubborn and could have changed my relationships if I had figured this out sooner. Please consider this when you’re young. And always, always speak kindly to your partner. Even if it’s difficult to do so. You are more likely to be heard. Then drowned out if what you say comes out with a kind tone.
