Do the ppl in this comment section realise that not ever 'Dr' is that kind of doctor 👩⚕️👨⚕️. 'Dr' also refers to ppl with PhDs, hence why the title is important. They spent years completing that degree and should be shown respect

You can call doctor,who treats people, just Mr. when out of medical field....but you should call Doctor to who got Docterate ....cause they earn the highest education of their field and they contribute alot to the community......

Dr, Pr, Ms, Mr, Mrs are all titles. But academic and professional titles always override gender-based titles because they recognize a person's highest level of achievement, regardless of gender or marital status. Now it’s pure politeness to address someone with their title. Until the person tells you you can call them by their name. Also I am from a francophone background, and we literally have the "Tu" and the "vous" when we speak to someone depending on the context (familiarity, strangers, level of respect, etc), while in English people just say "You". So I guess it’s more important for us to separate things when we speak.

y’all do realize that earning a PhD means you have to contribute original, brand-new research, right? it isn’t expanding your understanding of existing knowledge and research, that’s what a masters degree is. for a PhD, you literally have to PRODUCE new knowledge to your field. like with the medical field specifically, who do you think paves the understanding of the body functions or treatments or tests for MDs to learn about and apply in appropriate situations?😭
