Alison "Ali" Williams spent 16 years married to him and never sat down for an interview with the series. In an affidavit played on the Crime Junkie podcast, she said Mica's account of the marriage lined up with her own experiences: "many of the details shared with me, by Mica, are so similar to my own experiences with J.P. that I know she was being truthful." John-Paul Miller is currently awaiting trial on charges of cyberstalking Mica before her death and lying to federal investigators about it.
