In the slicer, when you go under the support tab, what’s shown under interface and base I think it’s called. I’m no where near my computer so going based off memory. Next click on the helmet itself and go to the objects tab and then click on supports and see if there’s a color locked 🔒 on the left side. If it is unlock it and slice it and see what it looks like in the preview. I’ve never had this problem so just seeing if something like this is the issue?

When you input your model what is the color? If it’s black and then you paint it then just the outer shell is painted but the infill will most likely still be black, this would mean that the infill is black. However if you change the filament of the object the infill will share the correct color. Not saying that is happening hear but I would double check.

Pretty sure “default” is whatever is being used. Based on what I’m seeing, it is starting with black because the helmet is the first item to start printing.

I don't have a H2C but Bambu Studio frequently assign a specific filament slot (often Slot 1) as the default for all support structures. If your red filament is loaded into Slot 2, and Slot 1 has a black filament, the slicer will automatically print the supports in black unless you manually tell it to use the red filament for supports. This is just from my research

Bambu Studio defaults supports to black because black is the software's hardcoded fallback color when a specific support filament is unassigned or when a single generic filament profile is loaded
