🥹 I don’t think I’ve ever really said this out loud, but @Abbey Yung is honestly one of the reasons I even believed I could do this as a career. When I first started doing hair, I was like a lot of hairstylists where I just believed what I had been taught. Salon products were better, affordable stuff was bad, silicones were bad, all of it. Then I found Abbey, and I specifically remember seeing her talk about silicones and realizing wait… why have I never actually looked into this for myself? That opened my eyes to SO much because she was recommending products that normal people could actually afford, and she was explaining why she liked them instead of just repeating the same shit everybody else was saying. And I remember thinking, girl, I’m working in these expensive salons and I’m not even spending $100 on shampoo myself, so how am I supposed to tell somebody else they need to do that? 😂 She really showed me that you can tell people the truth, recommend affordable shit, actually educate them, and still build a career doing this. That had such a huge impact on the kind of creator I wanted to be. So seeing her get her own Pantene bundle is just so fucking cool to me because I have literally been using Pantene since I was stealing it out of my mom’s shower 😂 I got to meet Abbey in Vegas last month and never even posted the picture because I looked crazy, but I’m posting it now because I’m just so proud of her.
