Check your hormones and check them STAT. It’s that time of life. In perimeno and menopause, low estrogen can increase good and bad cholesterol and autoimmune issues. Fun fact, I became allergic to a lot when my hormones shifted. Took yrs for answers. They treat women as though all our issues are separate but they’re all connected.

You may be genetically predisposed - I was shocked that I was prediabetic even though I eat relatively healthy, don’t snack, don’t drink soda and have never been overweight

My daughter’s doctor just stated she’s got highly cholesterol and she’s only 17 and so thin. I was shocked I’ve never even had high cholesterol and I’ve been fat before.

Same! I have stoped drinking cow milk and cheese and eating red meat all together so hopefully that will help. Need to get my cholesterol checked again in a couple months. But same I am active work out 5times a week and eat a varied healthy diet 😭

This happened to my bestie. It was the eggs. Not sure if you eat eggs but she switched to egg whites and ate them much less and it really helped her.

Talk with a dietician. They can assist you with your meal plan/prep.

There’s a lot of genetics at play too. Consider family history as well. I have patients who do everything right, but we have to add medication to help. It doesn’t mean your efforts aren’t working, just that some people need additional help!

like someone said check your hormones, before I was diagnosed with PCOS my cholesterol was elevated for years before they even did anything. Mine was related to PCOS and I had to clean up my diet and move more.

hormones...look into your hormones. I had to hire a naturopathic clinician since doctors wouldnt look deeper

Just workout 3 times a week and perhaps less meat more green, also instead of eating 4 meals cut it down to 3 meals, cook with vegetables oil and make an effort to cook your own meals then eating out, you should be fine.

Yes! My cholesterol was great all along and suddenly, it spikes...not a creep from year to year. So, I am trying to eat a bit healthier. I dont want to be on meds, if I can help it.
