EDIT TO ADD: since it wasn’t clear enough I’m not advocating for Chrissy, I’ve just seen this song and dance from her too many times to find it anything other than boring. I’m sooooo tired of every time someone has a bad experience with a stylist (or any business for that matter) they come on this app & “share their experience” what makes this particular situation so tiresome is that there have been PLENTY of videos made and rounds of drama about this stylist (& her prices) all it takes is some light research to find it. So there’s something to be said about a consumer blindly soliciting a business without being informed about what they are getting into. I think the most mundane and predictable part about all of this is watching stylist after stylist use this an opportunity to make a complete series of content defending prices or just to have thier piece of the viral moment (yes I’m aware the same could be said for me) Tack on the clients who “had a bad experience” and it’s giving “oh it’s my turn pick me”. It’s boring, it’s not original and I have to wonder how many times do we have to go through this with the same stylist before guests start understanding what they are walking into? I would love it if we could move on to something more interesting bc honestly this is just perpetuating the stereotype that hairstylists twirl hair and gossip all day. #hairtoks #hairstylistsoftiktok
