In south Africa the disability grant won't cover even a fraction of the medical aid so I'm forced to work 🥺🥺🥺

I had my boyfriend who knew more about disability and as soon as they told me that I went from ckd to esrd, because I was a rare case. My boyfriend took me to social security & I applied for medi-care. I’m in California and was told if I wanted disability for life basically I would have to apply now because it takes months to get on. I only opted for the mean time.

It took me 3 months after my end stage diagnosis. I also make too much on disability to qualify for Medicaid

For me I live in Pa have a rare genetic condition that attacked my kidneys and now on dialysis - I got disability 4 weeks after starting dialysis

I hate that they force us on Medicare. In NYS, it’s a year after being on disability. I’m sticking to United Healthcare cause I’m tired of trying different Medicare plans at this point lol

One thing you don’t make enough of a disability to denial for Medicaid it because your fiancé put you over ok.

I got cancer in 97 and was put on disability and eventually had to see a judge to maintain being on it. I had a lot of challenges and then of course the cancer came back and then the chemo put me in to Kidney failure. It’s just a way to keep you more impoverished. It’s having to live with health and in poverty it just have to imagine the amount of money flushing through your body to keep you healthy as you wealth and will never be your bank account. Also, you should really think twice before getting married because your husband’s income will be held against you for any disability benefits or medical benefits. I’m actually not gonna get married because I’m not gonna put my medical cost on the guy.
