It's a stupid take yk.Grades are not an equator of your iq nor success,it depends on the environment, the place, subjects, and of course, yourself.Success has many definitions by many people, you cannot really 100% state that grades are an "indicator" of success because your skills, your curisoty and drive to evolve is much needed than being stuck on just grades, but I'm not saying to ignore grades either since we at least need those certificates. But grades do not necassarily mean how much someone is gonna be successful(you don’t even know when you might die bro). They're more likely indicatrors of how well you can learn rules and apply them & it sn’t bsd tho, critical thinking is also used in subjects like math, science releated subjects etc but anyone can learn and apply them if they try to be patient with themselves, learn which study steps helps themselves the best and do well in the exam halls. And grades can be a measurement of effort to some, easy work to some, and sometiems stressful to others. Yes,there are many,MANY people out there that can do many thingss besides keeping perfects marks, but the skills they have and hone ARE mostly the reason why their grades don't fall either. That's why you'll see many talented artists, musicians etc who came from good educational backrounds too bcz of their creativity. And those ppl are exceptions, not necassarily meant to teach someone you need good grades besides everything. There are also many ppl out there who have contributed to society and are successful enough to live properly and help others without their "grades". Grades ars never meant to define your worth nor your success. Stop spreading propaganda and teach people to have skills, curiosty, thrill & enjoyment to live in the present and be creative. And your definition of success is granted. Grades≠success.

Grades don’t matter, one came a third world and became ufc champion and multi millionaire (Ngannou), AJ use to be a drug dealer and brick layer who went nearly went to prison for 10 years and now has an estimated net worth of over 200million from boxing

Everybody in these comments are trying to say getting into Harvard is hard even with wealthy backgrounds, yes that is true but at the same time the levels of oppertunity and tools quite literally boost your chances SIGNIFICANTLY like yes it’s difficult still but it’s like being thrown into water and asked to swim with training vs no training

They helped them developed skills but get their positions, I’ve seen students with economics degree they don’t even have a job. School teaches you stuff but never the real thing. Look a Jeff Bezos nobody trusted him from a book website to a corp.

grades don't mean anything. Ask what capability or technology your built and you'll filter out a lot of those people. Examples of technology let's take drug discovery could be PROTACS, cyclic peptides, molecular glues etc if you build one of those for a target you built a capability

Chicken Fillet :
These kids are hyper performers born to the right families with wealth and connections. The average kid does not get these opportunities. Who you’re born to and where you come from can determine someone’s potential success more than their brain power and capabilities. Humans are shallow they look at status and wealth more than actual intellectual capabilities. Real smart kids end up working in labs and barely get the recognition they deserve.
