If you shout at your child and feel guilty after, here's the fix. CALM VOICE 1. Come down to your child's eye level. 2. Lower your voice. 3. Then say it. Why it works: shouting releases cortisol in your child's brain. Cortisol shuts down the part that stores what you just said. Your child remembers the fear and forgets the words. A calm voice keeps that part open, so your words go in. One rule. Eye level first, words second. Try it tomorrow morning before school. This is one tool inside my NEUROPARENTING System. NEUROPARENTING is a Muslim parenting system which helps your child eat well, focus, listen and learn better. Inside you'll also get simple tools to end mealtime battles, screen fights and shouting, so you can raise an extraordinary child with a Fit Body. Sharp Mind. Great Character.
