@dangerzonemedia: Life aboard means 16–18 hour days, shared heads, and two washers for 150 sailors. #SubmarineLife #Navy #MilitaryLife #BehindTheScenes
Former submariner here. Complete BS. Yes it’s three 8 hour sections but you’re not working for 15-16 hrs a day… you stand your 8 hrs and then do your off going time for maintenance and studying for quals. If you’re using the entire 8 hrs, you got poor time management skills.

16 - 18 hr days? What boat is that? And when did they change the watch rotation? We ran a 3 section watch of 6 hrs per. Was port and starboard for almost 2 months, so that was easily 16 to 18 hours. But once qualified it was more like 8 hr days. Some had longer days, like the Machinist Mates, because their shit was always breaking down.

😂 not working hard enough? They're worse than Marines who only eat sleep and workout. 8 hours of work, then 8 hours to study, workout, eat, relax, then sleep. as a shipboard engineer we were happy if we got 6 uninterrupted hours of sleep. but since everything breaks when you're sleeping you don't get.
