My dad was one of those people who slept in from watching the Giants game. He went on a later train, and by the time he reached Manhattan one of the towers had fell, so he went back into the subway. I’m a Giants fan for life.

One of my favourite facts is that 50 shades of grey wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for 9/11. This is because whilst on his way to work, singer Gerrard Way witnessed the attack and decided that he wanted to do something with his life that would matter. So he called his brother and some of their friends to ask if they wanted to form a band, a band that Gerrard’s brother Mikey would name My Chemical Romance (partially after a book he saw in the bookshop he worked at). The music and aesthetics of MCR would go on to become a source of inspiration for author Stephanie Meyer whilst she was writing her novel, Twilight. EL James was a huge fan of Twilight and would regularly write fanfic about it and would go on to adapt one of these fanfic stories into 50 Shades of Grey

My cousin, my late father's niece, was seriously hurt in the Pentagon on 9/11. She was a DC Security Officer. She survived, but had to have skin grafts, etc. We were lucky she survived, while thousands did not. Trump is a liar, and to use those lost as a pawn for some stupid gain of attention is sick and disgusting. I uploaded my thoughts of him and this bs on my page.

It’s a crime the broadcast news networks didn’t bother to air anything about Trump’s lies he told about 9/11 today. If any other politician Democrat or Republican did this they would be excoriated by the media

The weather that day was absolutely perfect, too. Blue skies, low 70s. ~65 miles south of NYC, in Manasquan, NJ, we could see the black smoke all the way down the shoreline. Hundreds of people were standing in silence, staring at the sky, crying. 🖤

my husband was a FF/Paramedic for Arlington County FD and had one of the 1st victims who passed away as his patient. We had only been dating 5 months when 9/11 happened. Trump is the reason he will not be at the 25th year memorial at the Pentagon. which is sad, he should be there since he was one of the 1st on the scene
