@snakecatcherdan: Lace Monitor safely removed from a chicken coop in Mooloolah Valley today. It was caught in the act trying to eat one of the chickens living at the property. Lace Monitors are more interested in eggs but a hungry monitor will eat chickens when the opportunity arises. I’ve always said I’m very keen to live and let live when it comes to local wildlife. I’m not the kind of catcher to try and push you into relocating anything, but if your eggs keep getting stolen or pets are getting chased around, I'm always happy to help. Easiest way to have a Lace Monitor removed, is to tie a rope to the door on your chicken coop, leave some eggs in there and wait for the monitor to go in for them. Pull the rope to shut the door, then give me a call. This only works if your chicken coop is lizard proof.
