you are the reason that i decided enough is enough and I swapped my cabinet for plates and my pantry with each other. now I have my plates in my pantry and my food in the cabinet for plates and that works much much better.

i have a cupboard just like that in my kitchen, and i use the baskets from this ikea set, so it makes it easier to sort and reach the stuff in the back✨

The only upgrade we made to our house was having custom built deep drawers installed inside of the cupboard spaces. Our pot drawers pull out and our baking pantry & spice storage do the same

My food is in a deep cabinet. So I put big baking sheet tray (I happened to have a lot of it) as the the shelf liner. So if I need anything in the back, I can easly pull them out.

Except my spices(which I keep on a lazy Susan spice rack), various stock cubes, salt and a few other minor things. All my pantry item are in the drawers below the counter. That way I can maximize the space and not have to remove everything to find stuff in the back. I do have one shelf in a cabinet above the counter with food. But it is not a deep cabinet so I keep my rice and pasta there(and similar things) there. The drawer they used to live in doesn’t have room for them anymore😂

I was recently thinking that my pantry should be my glassware, tableware, pots and pans storage and the wall cabinets should be my pantry. This has convinced me I’m correct.

I redid my closet for cleaning supplies to a full length pantry (moved the cleaning things to my bedroom). It was amazing to have a almost half walk in pantry
