This report was used by Congress to de-legitimize anyone that did not practice pharmaceutical-based medicine and to dismantle the curricula of medical schools that had previously instructed in the healing potentiality of diet, herbalism or natural treatment. Part of this concerted effort was to brand any other kind of medicine—including TRADITIONAL medicine (ie. the kind that has existed for thousands of years and is ultimately based upon ancient system such as Greco-Islamic medicine, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and other ancient and indigenous healing modalities) as QUACKERY.
