The Type IV system is likewise a boltless fastening — an elastic, non-separated (direct) fastening for sleepers without concrete shoulders. It was developed from the original Type III fastening system through years of in-depth research and extensive testing and optimisation. Building on the Type III clip, the Type C4 clip features a further optimised structure that reduces its working stress and minimises residual deformation.
