i honsetly think, Since the golden flower grew from asriel's dust (his body) and the flowey had said dust inside, making it that in the end of the pacifist route the flower becomes asriel's new body and then turns back into a flower, flowey itself is the flower, the determination injected just made it woke up, and since it has determination, but no soul, that would make him able to open dark fountains, but not closing them, and that would make him similar to the... knight
