@richard_whitehead_mbe: One of those nights that reminds you just how incredible people can be ❤️ Last night I had the privilege of attending the BBC Radio Nottingham Make a Difference Awards at Motorpoint Arena, and an even bigger privilege of judging the Fundraiser Award. Hearing the stories behind the finalists and nominees was genuinely humbling. Ordinary people doing extraordinary things, often turning their own heartbreak and difficult experiences into something that helps others. That’s what community is all about ❤️ As someone born and raised in Nottingham, nights like this make me incredibly proud of this city and the people in it. I was also honoured to present the Fundraiser Award to Adele Cook. After the tragic loss of her husband, James, Adele has channelled her grief into raising funds for bleed kits across the county, hoping to help prevent another family experiencing the same devastating loss. Turning unimaginable pain into a reason to help others takes incredible strength. Congratulations Adele, and to every finalist, nominee and person who gives their time, energy and heart to making a difference. Incredible people. Incredible stories. A community to be proud of.
