This is a prime example of big food companies taking advantage of a seasonal event to make a really unnecessary product which makes them huge profit margins. It happens all the time and I just think - where is the responsibility from these companies? The amount of empty plastic in these “pancake shakers” is criminal. These products don’t need to exist, full stop! I hope these companies are listening…. Please do the right thing and save us the unnecessary additives and save the planet the unnecessary plastic 👎 It’s very simple to make pancake batter and your pancakes will end up being much better value than these pancake shakers. Below is a simple recipe for pancake tuesday! Enjoy and remember to resist the supermarket gimmicks 💪 Ingredients: 100g plain flour 2 eggs 300ml milk Method: 1. Sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the centre. 2. Break the eggs into the well and add a little bit milk. 3. Using an electric whisk or balloon whisk, beat well and gradually add the remaining milk into the mixture, whisking until smooth. 4. Heat a frying pan and when hot add a little butter. 5. Pour a small amount of the batter onto the pan and swirl it around until it is thinly spread over the bottom. 6. Cook for about 1 minute or until the edges are curling. 7.
