As a licensed nail tech, try acetone. DAB to see if it's pulling gray first (taking color from the rug) and if not keep dabbing until the glue softens and try a comb or brush to pull it off. If it does pull gray, i would say try HOT water and a touch of detergent. Even better if you have a steam cleaner, just steam the area above it, then hot water w detergent and then try the brush or comb to pull it out. Hope you find a solution!!

U cant. The plastic carpet react with the nail glue and creates a solid. Ppl use the same kind if reaction to fix a countertop

Haha yeah, that happened to me too! It’s actually pretty easy to fix though. Cut out the damaged part of the carpet in a neat square, then use that piece as a template to cut out an identical piece from somewhere hidden, like under the couch. Swap the pieces, and then gently brush the carpet fibers around the edges with a comb to blend everything together and hide the seam😄
