I find it so interesting and like amazing for her character. its just so idk cool ig that she studied HISTORY. She knows exactly what happens during famine and wars and that stuff and she knows she has the power to stop it. like imagine studying and loving history and then finding out you have the power to stop ww3. like idk its just so cool.

it adds a whole layer of depth to her choice, she was clearly disgusted with herself for what she did to grace, but I goes from her thinking its a necissary evil, to Knowing its a necissary evil, shes studied how famine and resource scarcity brings out the worst in mankind, she knows that this would be worse then any of that.

The humanities (esp. History, as I studied that, too) teach you to think laterally; to see how different things come together to form one big picture. STEM majors know how to do a lot, they tend not know how to work well with different disciplines (especially non-STEM disciplines).
