HBO Max's series follows emergency department staff at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center as they navigate the challenges of a single 15-hour hospital shift. HBO Max and CNN are both owned by parent company Warner Bros. Discovery. The show's creator, R. Scott Gemmill, emphasized the show's dedication to displaying real human struggles on screen.
