I lived there in the 80’s and 90’s and it is an amazingly beautiful place with diverse people and cultures. But remember this…winters are 9 months long and it is cold, or really cold, or f’n unbelievably cold. My final summer in Fairbanks it snowed 2 feet on Memorial Day and 3 feet on Labor Day! I moved to Honolulu.
