Save this post! ALL YEAR ROUND ACTIVITIES This is a master list of all the activities you can enjoy all year round in Calgary. For season specific activities not in this list, I have made a smaller by season list below. - Central Library (and then stroll towards east village. Grab a coffee/snack and cross the bridge towards St. Patrick’s Island. Stroll, enjoy the playgrounds and don’t forget to climb the hill “The Rise” for the most epic downtown views. - Calgary Zoo - TELUS Spark Science Centre - Heritage Park Historical Village (ensure that the historical village is open or see the winter programming available) - Calgary Tower (or eat at Sky 360 and you get access!) - TELUS Spark Science Centre - Lougheed House - Crescent Heights Lookout Point: beautiful Skyline views + walk - Explore the beautiful parks in Calgary: Some of our favs are: North Glenmore Park, Bowness Park, Carburn Park, Prince’s Island Park and Confederation Park. - Scotsman’s Hill for skyline views - Stroll Stephen Avenue and enjoy a nice meal if you like downtown vibes - Visit Fish Creek Provincial Park by Bow Valley Ranch Restaurant. The views are beautiful! Enjoy icecream at Annie’s Cafe! The restaurant is expensive so leave it for special occasions but you can get amazing photos with it in the back drop. If the weather is nice, walk to the river! SPRING - Reader Rock Garden - Butterfield Acres and Granary Road if you have little ones! - in May the whole city gets gorgeous blooms but I recommend Murdock Park, Garrison Square Park and Baker Park. SUMMER - Float down the Bow River - Downhill karting by Skyline Luge - Calgary Stampede: it runs for 10 days in July - Calaway Park - Peace Bridge at sunset - Paddle boat or rowing in Bowness park - Spray Parks around the city! - Enjoy river access at Pearce Estate Park, Stanley Park, St. Patrick’s Island and Edworthy Park FALL - Butterfield Acres - Pumpkin patches & corn mazes - Fall walks around the city and in parks mentioned in all season WINTER - ZooLights - WinSport tubing - Public skating at Bowness Park - Stephen Avenue’s holiday lights - The CORE Shopping Centre or Chinook Mall #yyc
