Jeweller here. Some tips : No quality diamonds will be set in silver. Diamonds vary in clarity and colour and have flaws unlike lab diamonds. Good jewelry is never cheep. Hope this helps

As someone who works in payment processing, you should angle this as broken bracelets. You said the clasp didn’t work? That should be more than enough to get you a chargeback in your favor. You probably have less of a claim on the diamond quality issue, but I would lead with the structural problems with the bracelet FYI.

Just a tip: when they don’t advertise the TCW (total carat weight), they’re selling junk. When they aren’t advertising the grade of the diamond, you’re getting junk. At this point, I’d get the lab diamonds tested because you very likely ended up with CZ, which is not lab grown diamonds. When they’re setting “diamonds” in sterling silver, you’re getting junk.

I seriously hate most auctions "guy go, guys go" "you robbed me " "such a steal" it's all so overstimulating- meanwhile they probably sold it at retail. Most of the stuff they show is magnified and doesn't look the same. Same thing happened with me with a chain. They said it was a rope chain looked normal. Got it in the mail it's a tiny tiny delicate chain.
