@mindfullyhealthymama: If your thoughts get stuck on repeat, try giving your brain and body something else to follow. This is called bilateral stimulation. It simply means creating a gentle left-right pattern, like alternating taps across the body. One of the easiest ways to do it is to cross your arms over your chest and slowly tap one side, then the other. I like this because you don’t have to talk yourself out of what you’re feeling or come up with the perfect calming thought. You’re giving your attention a steady rhythm to come back to while your body has a chance to settle. Try it for 30–60 seconds and notice what changes in your breathing, your shoulders, your thoughts, or just how intense everything feels. It might sound a little woo-woo to some, but give it a try. 💛 Save this for the next time your brain decides it would like to replay the same thought 47 times. #BilateralStimulation #NervousSystemRegulation #SomaticTools #AnxietyTools #emotionalregulation
