But he's not overreacting. He sees a strange animal, as big as him, that moves fast and has no concept of personal space he simply can't predict what the goat will do next. He doesn't need you to make the goat less scary. He doesn't need you to make him less scared. He needs you to hold it while he's scared. He was neither fully fearful nor fearless. He was cautious and curious. But it’s curiosity that lets him get close enough to find out he’s safe.
