Knowing Him breaks the power of sin. 3. *Two fathers* — Jesus is dividing everyone into two families: Those born of God who love truth, and those who follow the devil whose nature is to lie, hate, and murder. There's no middle ground. This is why right after this scene, they pick up stones to kill Him in John 8:59.
