You can’t respond to split second. For example I play the enchantment exploration. My opponent uses Krosen grip after the exploration resolves. I cannot respond the Krosen grip due to it having split second.

One thing I am having a hard time with is the fact you can let some of the stack resolve before casting another instant. for some reason I have it ground into my head that once the stack starts resolving it resolves all the way all at once and you can't stop it anymore.

Pretty much it makes a spell borderline impossible to interact with. It’s just that simple. Everything else resolves as normal unless if their spell does something. Which makes it crazy they put it in blue.

jin....is it a stack based thing or is it something else cuz jin is not a mana based ability and if a split second is on the stack like stated in the beginning...jin has a non mana based thing so how dose it counter

Yes but 'all your instant and sorcery have split second' means all your counterspells will go through unless like you said the very few cases like Gin Gitaxias and Morphing.

wait how can you use KKC if it says you cant activate abilities that arent mana abilities? you can use phyrexian altar or any other sac outlet, even if it grants mana. Still an activated ability, no?

Can't you hold priority in response to your own spell? And then cast a spell with split second? also, if no more spells can be cast. How can others respond to the first spell you cast after you cast the spell a split second?

didn't they update mana ability definition? my understanding was materially changing board state made it an ability now. so milling something to add mana. Does sacrifice still make it a mana ability?

This means that if you have enough mana, and a counter with buyback you can counter the whole stack with a single counter as long as you can pay the price
