… as a doordasher they’ll just tell me, and I call the customer to see if they want a refund or if they’d like a replacement… why are we not teaching new hires this? Why are new hires being left alone to the point they can do this kind of thing?

It’s actually SO ironic that this is popping up on my fyp today considering I went there and ordered two cosmic brownie lattes one small one large, both with the same milk at 12:30 today and they got a rush RIGHT after I ordered and I had the large coffee made and sat around and waited for 30 minutes (I checked my texts stamps) after they lied to my face twice and told me they were making the second small one. I was the first one in there, and I still somehow was in there for a HALF HOUR. I was LIVID. Not to mention the second coffee was rushed clearly and it was just a mess. Looked nothing like the first coffee

Literally, why would they do that when they could have just contacted the person that ordered and be like, "Hey, so we no longer have this in stock. If you would like something else, let us know. If not, we will issue a refund

I used to fill DoorDash orders for the convience store I managed and on the tablet provided by DoorDash, the company can cancel or refund ANY order that comes through. 😬😅
