These pictures are from the summer of 2017—my very first year doing Cat Camp at La Gattara. ❤️ I remember that summer so clearly. We taught these kids about TNR, cat behavior, spay/neuter, responsible pet care, rescue and advocacy. But more than anything, we taught compassion. And here’s the part that gets me. It’s been almost 10 years. These little kids aren’t little anymore. Some are graduating high school. Some are in college or heading out into the world and beginning lives of their own. I still keep up with some of them. They’re good humans. They’re compassionate, they care about animals, they’re doing good things—and I know in my heart that what we did together that summer made a difference in their lives. That’s why I believe so strongly in education. Because here’s the reality: every year, millions of cats enter shelters and rescues. Hundreds of thousands are euthanized—and those are only the ones we count. What about the ones we never see in those statistics? The abandoned cats? The kittens born outside? The ones suffering where nobody is looking? We can’t rescue our way out of this alone. We have to prevent suffering by teaching before it starts. With less than 48 hours left, I’m a little heartbroken. We have the program. We have the team. We’re ready to do the work. We just need the support to carry it forward. From ages 7-10. I still specifically remember seeing what all the aerial views of powerlines, empty fields, city park and 635 highway look like to this day. I remember being scared that I would run into a powerline when I was learning how to fly. I also remember being terrified of going too high up past the powerlines 🤷🏿‍♂️ In my teenage years it turned more into me repeatedly visiting 4 or 5 different locations that I’ve never been to physically in this lifetime. Some of the locations from these dreams I would be able to give you a guided tour of if I went back to them today in the physical. The fact that over 12,000 people know exactly what she’s referring to is cracking me up. I’m glad we’re reaching a new level of collective consciousness & openly acknowledging these shared experiences. #g#greenscreena#astralprojectionD#DreamsS#SpiritM#Meditation
