@ayathetigress: Kalamazoo Departmemt of Public Safety has had a contract with Flock for six years. Kalamazoo residents have protested the use in recent months, spurred by concerns about sharing surveillance information with ICE. KDPS does not participate in Flock’s national data sharing and does not allow their officers or any outside agencies to use Flock for immigration related purposes. #kalamazoo #flock #news #michigan

See ya there! I’m hoping for more clarity on this data center moratorium task force as well, something isn’t sitting right,

Sean9020 :

Not a kalamazoo resident, but keep up the good work. Your reporting is invaluable to kalamazoo locals as well others across the country like me who are battling flock , alprs , mass surveillance and data centers. I wish you much success 🙏🏿

Megamaxstar :

thank you for doing the work. Kalamazoo needs to answer the surveillance on us.

Brandon Nicholas :

Thank you for sharing this!!

Vaguerson :

Flock needs to go!

Bags on Bags on Bags :

Auto-renew is the most commonly requested to remove when negotiating software contracts. Also city has to issue a PO for renewal. Wonder who signed that PO? Might be one of the “unaware” you mentioned. Also, budget dollars would be allocated on someone’s budget for a renewal - the money is there - or it’s not. No one “didn’t know”

ArchGinger :

so the auto debit hit kalamazoo and we are just magically locked in?!

Serena Maria del Refugio :

I’m a subscriber! You’re doing good work 💪🏽

teddy269 :

Scorpio/Gen❌️ :

bridget :

Dude, that’s embarrassing that $100,000 of funds could be spent without someone working for the City of Kalamazoo noticing..

eric schemenauer :

It don’t matter they’re gonna spend our tax paying money anyway they want you can vote however you want and it’s never gonna make a difference. We just have the illusion that votes count I mean tell me how many of you people actually vote to have your taxes go up to build new schools?🤔 I doubt nobody does, but yet millages still pass.🤔

forcewizard :

thank you for this work. we want flock out ✌️

dcomstock :

Check out @Magnetic Norse, he has a ton of good info on Flock Cameras.
