LEV YASHIN, considered by many to be the greatest goalkeeper in history, played his entire career with Dynamo Moscow (1950–1970). He made around 400 official appearances for the club, in addition to his international appearances. He won five Soviet Union League titles (1954, 1955, 1957, 1959, 1963) and three USSR Cups (1953, 1967, 1970). He played 78 matches for the Soviet Union national team, winning gold at the 1956 Olympic Games and the 1960 European Championship, and finishing runner-up at Euro 1964. He was the only goalkeeper in history to win the Ballon d'Or (1963). He participated in four World Cups (1958, 1962, 1966, and 1970) and finished fourth at England 1966. He is considered the best goalkeeper of the 20th century by the IFFHS and was chosen as one of the Ballon d'Or All-Time XI and the FIFA Dream Team.
