I was reluctant to touch it but I remembered I had the original stems from back when Logic Pro had it as demo release with the software and I thought it would be fun to mix the lead vocal with more modern flavours as producing and mixing techniques and trends move on quickly. The two vocal mixes were gain matched to minute detail! But sometimes saturation can make a vocal appear louder due to the added richness - plus Instagram messes with the sound as well. Ocean Eyes was completely produced in Logic Pro using 100% stock plugins which is incredible! It shows the insane skill of Finneas who wrote and produced it.
