We used to drive to the closest town that had the newspaper that had the black Friday sale adds. That was how we planned our black Friday shopping trip. The days of no internet and loving in a rural area.

in the uk, we have a shop called argos where there used to be a catalogue and we would go in the shop and get the giant book and circle all the toys we wanted for Christmas!!

I remember my mum got Freemans catalogue and it had a Christmas section at the back and we used to look over it dreaming of what Santa might bring us! This was 1980s in North Ireland.
