The area is very beautiful and the short summers are gorgeous. Rent a cottage (aka camp) in the area in July or August and you’ll love it here.

Nobody wants to end up in Thunder Bay, it's a way stop going east or west. Otherwise it can be a very sad place especially if you're native.

Welcome to my home town. 💗Amethyst Country and home to the Sleeping Giant, tasty persians and the Terry Fox lookout. Hike the Cascades, McKenzie Point and Centennial Park…all close by. If you’re staying a few days take the highly recommended, day-long hike up the Sleeping Giant and also be sure to see Kakabeka Falls! Enjoy!
