@ieatbricks007: Filming SS France from a ferry at night #ssfrance #foundfootage #ghostship #france #fyp

Florin Castravete :

me if I saw SS France ghost ship

MSAuthor :

the SS France was the last true transatlantic ocean liner. Built in 1960, it was the longest cruise ship ever built until the construction of the RMS Queen Mary. After the ship was retired, Norwegian cruise lines purchased the ship in 1979, reoutfitted it, and renamed it the SS Norway. Following a boiler room explosion in 2003 while docked in Miami (8 workers died) the ships operating career came to an end and the ship was decommissioned. It was scrapped in 2008 and never sank, so the idea of calling this a ghost ship really doesn’t make sense.
