Never, and I mean NEVER lift your adult cat by their scruff. Only causes them pain. It's fine when they're kittens bc they're so much light.

For anyone who has cats who absolutely hate the carriers, leave them out with a blanket in it they’ll eventually associate it with being a safe and comfortable thing. Been doing that with all my cats and not one has ever given me an issue. Now not all cats will react to it positively but just a suggestion not many owners think about doing that
