@thediaryaceo: Chloe’s life took an incredible turn after she was rescued from the streets of Deming, New Mexico. She was taken to a local humane society in January 2026 and placed on the euthanasia list less than two weeks later. The Animal Rescue League of El Paso stepped in just in time, and its founder quickly recognized Chloe’s potential. She was selected for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection canine program and completed a five-week course in obedience, critical-incident response and deployment preparation. Today, Chloe serves alongside Border Patrol Agent Miguel Carrillo as a Critical Incident Response K9, providing comfort and emotional support to people dealing with trauma. She has supported law-enforcement families following tragedy and visited hospitals to comfort seriously ill and hospice patients. From facing euthanasia to helping people through some of their hardest moments, Chloe’s story is a powerful example of what a second chance can become.
